Yo! Payments Gateway was awarded the Best Financial Services Application Award at the 2015 MTN Innovation Awards.
The award was given in recognition of Yo! Uganda’s immense efforts to deliberately take steps to build a more inclusive financial system. Yo! was thus chosen based on its work as a financial services inclusion enabler helping to facilitate each of the four pillars of financial inclusion set forth by the Bank of Uganda. The Yo! Payments Gateway was additionally found to address the needs of both consumers of financial services and providers of financial services and was identified to clearly demonstrate enabling business intelligence to enhance reach, accessibility and efficiency.
Having satisfied the stringent judging criteria in this tightly contested category which included: Current Performance, Market Potential, Sustainability, Relevance in Vertical Industries, Rich Business Intelligence Presence, Scalability and Customer Experience, The Yo! Payments Gateway Application emerged the best from the pool.
